  We are looking for experienced players for our fall session. Please contact us for additional information.

  The Jazz Combo runs on Thursday nights from 7:00 - 8:30 pm. The fee for the twelve 90 minute sessions is $180.00.
  
  John Bird leads our Jazz Combo sessions.

• Additional Information

  This combo is for students who have already played for a few years and have an interest in jazz and improvisation.
  
  Previous combo experience is not necessary but horns, bass and guitar should feel confident in scales (thirds, arpeggios) of at least up to 2 flats and sharps at various tempos and should also be prepared to solo and play out. Drummers should be able to manage a basic swing pattern and funk/rock rhythm. The focus will be on ensemble playing, basic improvisation, and beginning chord changes. The bulk of material will come from standard jazz repertoire.
  
  The drum kit, keyboard, and amplifiers will be provided.
